Infants Class
In our Infant and Mobile class, we offer individualize care for your baby. One-on-one interactions to build nurturing relationships and encourage language skills. We carry age-appropriate activities that are packed with amazing milestones. Every stage is guided and supported by our teachers. We pay close attention to all aspects of their development and provide encouraging and inspiring learning through play, care and love.
Language & Literacy
Throughout the day, our teachers interact with our little ones by talking, signing and reading books. We make every opportunity like feeding, diaper change and playing as an essential part of their language development. Books, pictures and classroom materials are used to help your baby begin to understand language and conversation. |
Math & Science
Children are naturally curious! They observe and explore how the world works through their senses and our teachers provide wonderful opportunities, materials, time and space for exploring, discovering and problem solving. Babies communicate the results of their explorations through babbling, laughing, crying, physical gestures, facial expressions, and words and we are there to support, build and expand their scientific interest. |
Social & Emotional Learning
At MESAC, we provide a nurturing environment and form early relationships with our little ones by responding to their needs.. Social and emotional includes the ability to successfully navigate their world through interactions with teachers and peers. We focus on children’s developing abilities like beginning to calm self, express their needs, building bonds and develop a sense of trust. |
Healthy Bodies
The infants class provides a daily routine because it helps babies develop a sense of security, confidence, and self-control. Routines help our little ones feel safe and comfortable as they know what to expect next. This helps them trust that the teachers will provide for their needs. We believe that daily routines helps infants develop a sense of independence and adjust to change more easily. |
Creative Arts
Children explore art, music, and dance through singing and dancing every day at circle time and playing music with the instruments in class. Teachers tell stories using facial and sound effects to catch the babies attention and learn about the books. The babies gets their hands and feet on arts through the exposure of a variety of tools appropriate to their age and with the full support of their caregivers. |
Family Engagement
Family engagement is very important for us. It helps our little ones feel safe, secure, and supported. We have an open door policy and do several events during the school year to maintain and endure family connections. Our families offer their time to join us for story time, arts and crafts, music and snacking indoors and picnics outdoors. We believe that parental involvement and presence in the class can positively impact infants' developmental outcomes. |

During the toddlerhood stage, the children learn to develop self-identity and begins to understand differences in people and places. Children begin to develop empathy, kindness and generosity by practicing sharing and caring for friends. Our teachers offer support by being a role model and interacting in a kindly and respectfully with others.

The toddlers class offers multiple activities to explore physical movement. The activities promotes fine motor and gross motor skills to help strengthen balance, coordination, muscle strength and problem solve in obstacle course.
We create easy safety rules to promote safety measures and practice hygienic procedures by being a role model and children can learn to imitate good hygiene habits in our daily routine. |

Children in the toddlers class engage with music and dance to allow the grow in their motor skills, communication, expression, creativity and imagination. Music and dance helps children absorb and retain information. Through early art experiences, the children learn to express some of their thoughts though simple art projects and supports development across domains.

Preschool Class
The preschool program offers a more structured environment designed with enriched learning centers that supports young children to be ready for Pre-K and Kindergarten. Our goals are aligned with DC Learning Standards as well as the Creative Curriculum. At MESAC, we provide a secure and loving atmosphere where young children explore, learn and grow. Our Teachers offer individualize and small group teacher-directed activities to help the child build confidence opportunities to solve problems and make decisions.
Language & Literacy
Our teachers assist the preschoolers to gain complex vocabulary and sentence structure with confidence during interaction and play. Children participate in interactive reading strategies and become storyteller. The classroom is packed with a variety of books that includes informational texts and culturally diverse. Maximized open ended questions to promote higher order thinking skills and cognition. The preschoolers develop strong skills by using writing tools to write simple words and learn the alphabet. |
STEM
We engaged in activities to explore STEM. Hands on science investigations and opportunities for analysis and reasoning are interspersed. Children make their own discoveries makings guesses while learning to makes sense of the world around them. Teachers help children to gain skills in counting, quantifying, measuring, discover spatial awareness by observing, collecting and solving problems. NO electronics are used in class. |
Social & Emotional Learning
The class encompasses clear expectations, consistency and clarity of rules for children to understand what comes next. We use calm-down techniques like deep breathing and pausing to communicate emotions through words. We provide love and support at all times.
Recognizing other’s perspective is a very important component at this age and showing empathy and care through role modeling. Children begin to take turns with peers and use of sand timers helps to understand the meaning of waiting for a turn. |
Healthy Bodies
Teaching the importance of taking good care of our bodies and brains is shared daily with the preschoolers. We promote good and healthy choices for our meals that are full of nutritious and yummy foods and fruits. We actively participate in physical activities for 45 minutes daily and practice basic safety and hygiene procedures. |
